| | | This is a pretty cool spot on the wall, and it seems to be a little better protected from the swells that sometimes affect the northwest point dives.
There is a large overhang here, along a curved section of the wall. This makes a concave section near the top of the wall, making a shape very much like an amphitheater. Lots of big-eye jacks and other larger fish hang out in this amphitheater area.
The wall also has huge barrel sponges along it here, and we caught site of a reef shark slowly cruising just off the wall.
As you finish your dive, spend some time along the top of the wall off-gassing. We found lots of great critters by doing this, including a puffer fish, some cowfish, and an amazing little guy called a flamingo-tongue snail. | | |
